Should your dog soak in the spa?

You may be tempted to let mans best friend join you in the hot tub, but it’s not really a good idea.  For a couple reasons, it be dangerous for his health, and it makes a furry mess out of your filter! No one wants to clean that up after. Instead, give your pup a new toy to play with or feed him a special dinner while you’re relaxing instead. Then you won’t have to worry about his well-being, making your spa that much more relaxing.
The problem with taking your dog in the spa is the temp. You probably keep your spa at a very high temperature. When your puppy comes in for a dip, he can quickly overheat and wind up with a dangerously high body temperature. This can dehydrate, and affect his vital organs.
One final thought,

If you really want to spend time with your canine companion in the hot tub, lower the temperature, so it’s closer to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Give your spa a day or two to cool down. It should feel warm to you, not hot.
